In sociology, the concept of community has caused infinite debate, and sociologists are yet to reach agreement on a definition of the term. There were ninety-four discrete definitions of the term by the mid-1950s. Traditionally a "community" has been defined as a group of interacting people living in a common location. The word is often used to refer to a group that is organized around common values and social cohesion within a shared geographical location, generally in social units larger than a household. The word can also refer to the national community or global community.
Communis comes from a combination of the Latin prefix com- (which means "together") and the word munis probably originally derived from the Etruscan word munis- (meaning "to have the charge of"). Since the advent of the Internet, the concept of community no longer has geographical limitations, as people can now virtually gather in an online community and share common interests regardless of physical location.
Psychedelic Traveller doesn't want to be just another psychedelic forum as there are already more then enough. Our resolution is to include the best possible sources into our website. We are happy to have strong partners to share the ideas of our community in WORDS, PICTURES & MUSIC on sites that are focussed on that desires.

- Facebook is a free-access social networking website that is operated and privately owned by Facebook Inc. Users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with other people. People can also add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves.
- For pictures we are using Flickr. Once you're registered, you can upload up to 100MB of pictures a month that you can then organise into groups or 'pools' for free. You can invite your friends to join these pools and they can then contribute their pictures too.
- Flickr is an image and video hosting website, web services suite, and online community platform. In addition to being a popular website for users to share personal photographs, the service is widely used by bloggers as a photo repository. As of June 2009, it claims to host more than 3.6 billion images, up from 3 billion in November 2008.
